News from all over
by Maddog on Dec.21, 2009, under Uncategorized
Rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated.
I have been busy with many projects over the last few months.
It was not my intention to go so long without a post or podcast. Some big things have been happening.
I’ve have been working on starting up a new business with greater cash flow potential than writing and podcasting.
I still plan to do some podcasting and writing, most of my efforts will be focused on my new endeavor. This new business will launch on January 1, 2010.
New live show with call in feature
by Maddog on Jul.22, 2009, under News, podcasts
In my last post I wrote about plans to start doing a live show a few times a week.
I discovered this interesting site that allows me to do it.
However there are a few drawbacks in return for the fact that they provide me with a live stream and switchboard for callers.
One drawback is that the entry level service requires the use of a telephone to talk over the stream. Here is the problem, people who listened to my pre-recorded shows on this site can hear them in stereo. When you listen to my show live or archived on that site you will notice a substantial loss in audio quality. However after have a few live shows, and speaking with a few listeners, I have decided that the extra exposure of a live show will make up for the loss in quality.

The real Maddog barks
by Maddog on Jul.08, 2009, under SelfDefense
It has come to my attention that one or more people are posting comments using the name “MAD DOG”.
I wanted to point out that it is not me. Especially since some of the things this “MAD DOG” are saying don’t necessarily represent my views.
You can find the impostor “MAD DOG” commenting on an article at infowars.com. BTW I have posted under the name Maddog on infowars.com in the past.
I just wanted to clear this up.
Here is the article.
Been working on a few projects
by Maddog on Jul.01, 2009, under podcasts
This last week of June was the first time the Underdog Militia Report podcast was either delayed or canceled . This is because I’ve been working on a few things involving the future expansion of the Underdog Militia.
One of the things I’m working on is starting a live show, with the ability to take phone calls for on air interviews and questions, debates etc.
The studio and equipment I’ve used in the past are seriously inadequate for the task. I’ve been busy constructing a studio on a shoestring budget.
Yesterday I did an experimental live show for 15 min and the audio was horrible. The low budget system I am trying out, streams from a telephone call instead of pre recorded with my good stereo microphones. Once I work out the technological difficulties, I plan to record at least one podcast with my stereo microphone and do at least 2 live shows a week. That is, IF I can get a good audio with the phone system. I know it can be done because I’ve heard others do it.
This is not a painting of the past
by Maddog on Jun.28, 2009, under Uncategorized

I remember years ago I was walking through a antique and used stuff co-op. I saw this print on the wall of a painting by Maxfield Parrish.
I stood there and stared imagining where and when that scene is taking place. I immediately knew that it was not a painting of the past, but of the future. I saw not only what was in the scene but also what was not in the scene.
In one of my past articles I wrote Conformity is theft from posterity

Email mix up
by Maddog on Jun.27, 2009, under Humor
A couple from Minneapolis decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a
particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the very same hotel
where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.
Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to
coordinate their travel reservations. So,
the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday
and his wife flew down the following day.
The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room,
so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally
left out one letter in her email address and without realizing his error, (continue reading…)
