Joe Musso
by Maddog on May.26, 2009, under Looters, News, Politics
Joe Musso announced that he is going to run for mayor of the city of York.
I actually agree with one of his goals: “— Promote a police chief from within the police ranks.”
I’ve always supported promotion from within. Promotion from within encourages people to do their best in expectation that they may someday earn a promotion. I’m not just writing about police departments. Too many companies are run by people with the “give the new administration, management, supervisor position to my old (college, other company) friend”.
Now it may seen ok to the HR manager who doesn’t give a shit. The message it sends to the rank and file who worked hard for years is “fuck you, I don’t give a shit about you or the company. I’m just here to line my own pockets.” It also says to the rank and file people who worked hard— “don’t bother giving 110 percent because your hard work is not going to be rewarded.”
Back to Joe Musso. Here’s the problem. Years ago when he first got on the York city council, he bought city owned property for pennies on the dollar from the city, and then he turned around and sold the property at full market value. I believe he pocketed a nice profit too. There was an article in the local newspaper about it when it happened.
Five Guys Burgers & Fries
by Maddog on May.24, 2009, under Food
I was hungry for some cheese sticks today. So I’m driving down I-83 in northern York County. I called one of the few places that make decent cheese sticks and asked for two orders of cheese sticks. When I got there about ten mins later the person at the counter handed me a little bag that contained ONE order of cheese sticks.
“WHOA! hold on,” I said, “I asked for TWO orders of cheese sticks.”
The person at the counter got the paperwork out and said, “One order of cheese sticks, I can make you another.”
At this point I’m not pleased because I called ahead so my food would be ready before I got there. I had no intention of waiting since it was a bimbo’s incompetence that messed up my order.
I handed that bad back, let the 2 liter bottle of Dr Pepper I was going to buy on the counter and said, “forget about it.”
Then I walked out the door.
Ok so I’m still hungry. Perhaps I should go to Sonic and get cheese sticks. However, the last time I went to Sonic there was a line of sheep waiting to even find a parking space. So Sonic was ruled out for now.
Then I see a Five Guys Burgers & Fries. Apparently it is one of the few places that uses fresh cut fries, although they wouldn’t show me a potato. (continue reading…)

Hugh Stanley Rebert loses republican primary!
by Maddog on May.21, 2009, under Court, News, Politics, Rebert
On Tuesday May 19, 2009, the voters of York County Pennsylvania denied the incumbent District Attorney the Republican nomination.
Tom Kearney won the Republican nomination for District attorney of York County. Mr Kearney is a former assistant DA who also happened to be the last person who ran against Mr Rebert, back when Mr Rebert was first elected to the office of District attorney in 1985.
Unfortunately the republican nomination for two judges of the court of common pleas of York County went to taskmaster union endorsed candidates. Chuck Patterson (one of Rebert’s henchmen) and Harry Ness.
I’m planning on recording another Underdog Militia Report podcast at the end of the week with more detailed coverage about the election. I might also be discussing other news & events. I’m also going to tell you a story about courage and cowardice.

Another hedge fund manager gambles the taxpayer’s money

At least this parasite lost 5 million playing poker. Yahoo News
That is much better than having tax dollars being used to ship jobs out of the USA. An earlier post about GM shipping jobs overseas
Most people are blind to the reason that the economy is such trouble. A number of things are contributing to the death of the economy and liberty in general.
1. Fiat currency distorts the markets giving an incentive to decision makers in industry to lower quality. A commodity based currency would also encourage longer term planning in all levels of investment, production, and quality.
2. Regulations raise the cost to enter a given market. Most regulations are lobbied for by Corporations that already dominate their market. Example- The top tier oil Companies that dominate the oil exploration market, lobby for regulation that stops smaller independent oil exploration companies from drilling for oil, hence they keep the price of oil high. An article about peak oil scam
3. Prohibition & legal extortion. There is a gigantic parasitic industry that profits from making war on the liberty and rights of the people. First you have private prison and subcontractors lobbying lawmakers to pass new laws and to upgrade what use to be a petty or summary offense to a misdemeanor and/or felony grade with much higher incarceration time. Many things that are felonies today were either low grade fine type offenses or didn’t exist as a crime as few as 5 to 10 years ago. Then you have taskmasters (law enforcement) running and getting elected to offices so they can pass more laws and increase penalties for petty offenses and/or victimless crimes. Then you have judges taking bribes to send teenagers to private jails.
Of course they lobbied the legislatures to pass laws that exclude a significant percentage of the population from the jury pool, thereby guaranteeing a high conviction rate. All of these things take up a growing portion of government spending. Not the mention the lost productivity of formerly productive citizens who are locked up. In the past decade law enforcement & incarceration has surpassed education as a percentage of most State budgets including my home State of Pennsylvania. (continue reading…)
Judge rules 13-year-old cancer patient can’t refuse radioactive waste
by Maddog on May.15, 2009, under Court, News
I shall state it now for the record.
If I ever get cancer I shall refuse the option of chemotherapy and/or radiation.
My soul shudders at the thought of putting radioactive waste in my body.
There might be a chance that the “treatment” may increase my life by a few years, however since I am going to die someday anyhow and I would rather die with honor.
