Five Guys Burgers & Fries

I was hungry for some cheese sticks today. So I’m driving down I-83 in northern York County. I called one of the few places that make decent cheese sticks and asked for two orders of cheese sticks. When I got there about ten mins later the person at the counter handed me a little bag that contained ONE order of cheese sticks.
“WHOA! hold on,” I said, “I asked for TWO orders of cheese sticks.”
The person at the counter got the paperwork out and said, “One order of cheese sticks, I can make you another.”
At this point I’m not pleased because I called ahead so my food would be ready before I got there. I had no intention of waiting since it was a bimbo’s incompetence that messed up my order.
I handed that bad back, let the 2 liter bottle of Dr Pepper I was going to buy on the counter and said, “forget about it.”
Then I walked out the door.
Ok so I’m still hungry. Perhaps I should go to Sonic and get cheese sticks. However, the last time I went to Sonic there was a line of sheep waiting to even find a parking space. So Sonic was ruled out for now.
Then I see a Five Guys Burgers & Fries. Apparently it is one of the few places that uses fresh cut fries, although they wouldn’t show me a potato.
I ordered a plain burger and 2 large fries. Unfortunately they only serve well done burgers, and I like mine cooked medium. When I asked about the cheese selection I was told that they only have one type of cheese, “yellow American”
Since I don’t consider “yellow American” to be real cheese, I declined their offer. And I consider it an insult that fake machine processed cheese is called “American”. It is almost like a planned humiliation of America. At least Switzerland gets a real cheese named after it.
In conclusion to my Five Guys Burgers & Fries food review, I must say they do make some of the best fast food burgers around, and I would go back there for burgers again. However I would bring some Swiss cheese along.
Also the fries were excellent and the service was top notch and respectful.
